Cold treatment
Some species that require cold treatment include Oriental lilies, cyclamen, hosta, hellebores, allium, columbine, iris. some cacti, some grasses and most alpines also fall into this category.
Wording question
The 'or' in the first sentence is confusing:
"Vegetative reproduction uses vegetative plants parts or roots, stems and leaves. Therefore, propagation via asexual seeds or apomixis is asexual reproduction but not vegetative propagation."
Doesn't "roots, stems and leaves" basically cover the plant parts used for vegetative reproduction? Where does "or" come in? Wanderer57 (talk) 17:17, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Adding back category forestry
I'm reverting a good faith edit by Minnecologies as modern forestry, especially pine tree farms depend a great deal on propagation techniques to establish sufficient numbers of their cultivars to supply tree farms.Trilobitealive (talk) 14:56, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
