Hello! I will be reviewing this article for possible GA status. My review should be posted shortly. Nikkimaria (talk) 02:34, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria
- Is it reasonably well written?
- A. Prose quality:
- Prose is repetitious and of mediocre quality. Excessive use of the verb "to feature", particularly in the lead. Lead tense does not match article. Suggest copy-editing to improve clarity and flow.
- B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
- Lead includes information not mentioned in article text. Layout is inefficient and involves excessive white space. Should not repeat references in External links. Some inappropriate/uncited use of words to watch.
- A. Prose quality:
- Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
- A. References to sources:
- See here for problematic links. Need more independent sources.
- B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary:
- Because of the dead link, I am unable to verify that ref 4 supports the statistics regarding the television show.
- C. No original research:
- A. References to sources:
- Is it broad in its coverage?
- A. Major aspects:
- The first sentence: "Planet Earth Live is a 2010 BBC nature documentary film". However, the almost exclusive focus of the article is the premiere/tour. Need more information about the film and less about the tour to be balanced and to cover all major aspects.
- B. Focused:
- Undue weight given to information on the tour.
- A. Major aspects:
- Is it neutral?
- Fair representation without bias:
- See above concern regarding WP:W2W
- Fair representation without bias:
- Is it stable?
- No edit wars, etc:
- No edit wars, etc:
- Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
- A. Images are copyright tagged, and non-free images have fair use rationales:
- B. Images are provided where possible and appropriate, with suitable captions:
- Why are there 5 images and 6 venues?
- A. Images are copyright tagged, and non-free images have fair use rationales:
- Overall:
- Pass or Fail:
- Unfortunately, not at GA status at this time. Please re-nominate once the concerns here have been adequately addressed. Nikkimaria (talk) 03:01, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
