Name and engine
[edit]N390PD is registered as a Plane Driven Sportsman GS2 with a Lycoming IO-390-X engine. MilborneOne (talk) 13:47, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
The name is difficult. Typical American homebuilts are registered after the builder then the model. Most of the articles on experimental aircraft are listed as the maker or designer, and the model name. In this case it is a company registering a known experimental model that they in turn modify and create a new product. (ex. Shelby Mustang)FlugKerl (talk) 16:25, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
The IO-390-X makes sense, the typical installation is a IO-360 which may have been assumed in articles. Either can be cited at the moment. FlugKerl (talk) 16:25, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
- Understood about the name - I have just created a re-direct from Plane Driven Sportsman GS2 just in case anybody uses it as a search. MilborneOne (talk) 17:03, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Plane Driven PD-1 Roadable Glastar → Plane Driven PD-1, roadable Glasair Sportsman – PlaneDrive PD-1 is based on the Glasair Sportsman model aircraft not the Glastar model. CliffGerber (talk) 04:32, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose sorry I moved this to Plane Driven PD-1 and didnt see this move request, I would oppose moving it again as we dont normally use descriptions as article titles. MilborneOne (talk) 11:58, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose per MilborneOne. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 08:16, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
