No longer extant
[edit]Sad to say, it appears this building is no longer extant. I've added a few sources that note the public safety complex as being built in 1985 to replace the old carhouse. (The current building also looks nothing like the carhouse; looking at historic aerials, it also occupies a footprint partially offset from the carhouse.) @Magicpiano: as creator. Do we have a way to contact the NRHP about possible delisting? Pi.1415926535 (talk) 05:23, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
- It is a pity about the building; I saw the current building as at least reminiscent of other carhouses I've seen, which is why I assumed it was a rehab job. As far as delisting is concerned, the place to bring that up is with the state SHPO. (If you do so, you might check if there are other demolished listings in NH to bring up as well. IIRC it's at most a two-person office, so don't expect much action.) Magic♪piano 13:33, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
- I photographed the current building a few years back, and only discovered now that it wasn't the same as the old building, so clearly it's easy to confuse. I've contacted the NH Division of Historic Resources. Thanks, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 06:50, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
