Name of the band
[edit]Is the band's name Manfred Mann's Plains Music or Manfred Mann's Plain Music? I have this record and it shows the band name as Manfred Mann's Plain Music. If you click the first note you get page from AllMusic and there the cover of the album reads Manfred Mann's Plain Music. So which is correct my cover, the AllMusic cover or the picture of the cover on this page?Linkato1 (talk) 05:34, 30 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Linkato1 Hi, I have this album on CD. Cover reads exactly as yours i.e. on small cover side "Manfred Mann's Plain Music" (space) "Plains Music". Front: "Manfred Mann's Plain Music", below in small font "Plains Music", no apostrophes. I presume the former is the name of his band, the latter the plural form of plain => "plains". May define US & RSA Plains, where 7 & 2 songs came from, respectively, and/or "The Great Plains", the geographical designation, such as one finds on maps or as a book title etc. "Plain Music"? Simple straightforward music? Printing mistake? Who knows.
