The list of places where the Sikhs/ Hindus had prominent numbers is misleading. Some of the names are misspelt and in some instances the names of a small locality is taken as a village. It would be better if somebody who has migrated from the area is consulted to provide better picture. It would like to quot some misleading instances in the page which i know. Mallach, as i know is a place in village Basian (abbasian) near Kohala bridge on Punjab/NWFP/ Kashmir border. Two three sikh families lived here. Most of them were killed or fled during the unfortunate frensy on the eve of independence. A lady left/kept behind converted and married to a local person and is probably still alive. Dewal, spelt Diwal in the document is on NWFP/ Punjab border but is in Punjab not NWFP. It also had a some populatio of Khatris. I fail to uderstand and like somebody to help me know the reasons behind the fact that most of Khatris and other Hindus and sikhs living in the area started to migrate from the area in 1942 onwards. Anybody from the Sikh/Hindu families who migrated from Murree/Abbotabad area may please contact me on wajihabbasi@yahoo.com. I would be thankful for their
