Pizza Hut Italian Bistro

Letting everyone know that Pizza Hut has started an Italian Bistro, renovating existing restaurants into this format and building new ones, so I believe that this article needs to be updated to include that information. Isn't soya oil a type of vegetable oil?

I believe that this is a dialectal difference; usually, in the US, "vegetable oil" refers to soybean oil. How about menu items and dates of introduction? Pan Pizza was introduced (I think) 1982 (before that you had a choice of Thin 'n' Crispy and Thick 'n' Chewy), Personal Pan Pizza came out two years later. --ProhibitOnions 12:17, 2005 Jun 15 (UTC)

Pizza Hut and Verizon Wireless

In the "Sponsorship" section:

   In March 2007, Pizza Hut partnered with Verizon Wireless to offer a free LG mobile phone with the purchase of a Cheesy Bites Pizza.

I thought that a Texas-based authorized dealer selling Verizon Wireless phone products/service was sponsoring this promotion, rather than Verizon Wireless itself.----By the way, the "LG mobile phone" happens to be the LG Chocolate (VX8500). Tngu77 (talk) 04:23, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Removed

I removed:

The Pizza Hut Express located in the Georgia Tech student center is the only Pizza Hut in the USA that serves Coca-Cola products, presumably because of prior agreements that the university had with the Coca-Cola company to sell only coke products (fitting, as the campus lies in the shadow of the Coke-emblazoned skyscraper that houses the company's corporate headquarters).

According to the SBC Yellow Pages for Palo Alto, CA, the Pizza Hut franchises in Redwood City and Menlo Park also serve Coca-Cola. Additionally, the Target store in Mountain View, CA serves both Coca-Cola and Pizza Hut products. As such, I think the above is inaccurate.

The above was re-added, and I have re-removed it. The pizza hut on the University at Albany campus in New York also serves coke products, due to a prior agreement with Coke. This is common on many college campuses24.97.17.3 15:26, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

FWIW... Eastern PA and Central PA Pizza Huts (Erie and Harrisburg Markets) ALL Serve Coca Cola Products... Switched in 90's soon after Yum! was formed...

Pizza hut and unions

Hey, I was wondering what the thoughts were here, about adding a blurb about pizza hut's repeated run-ins with the Association of Pizza Delivery Drivers (a labor union).

Hi.. removed the bit about SuperSizeMyPay trying to abolish youth rates for Pizza Hut employees in New Zealand as Pizza Hut doesn't use youth rates. ALTHOUGH Restaurant Brands owns KFC who do use them, so the statement was not factually incorrect, just misleading. Make sense?

Quality of information

Why is this article loaded with advertising information and menu item detail? I deleted some ridiculous detail describing the current TV commercial ads, but more could go. This is not the way an encyclopedia article should read. It should contain a history of the corporation, product preparation techniques that differ from similar chain's techniques, presence in various countries, relationship with employees and unions, and so on. It should not have Current Flavors of pizza in the central Florida region. --Tysto 16:13, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

The problem is that it's easier to add straightforward facts than to write a good (balanced, non-POV but insightful) encyclopedia article; the latter is as dependent on what's left out as what's included. Anyway, regarding your specific complaint; yes, I agree. I don't think the article should degenerate into listmania, and it may be worth condensing those lists, or removing them altogether. I agree with Tysto about the advertising on this page. This page is supposed to inform the reader about Pizza Hut,it is not trying to brainwash the reader into buying a pizza from there. Even though after reading the info I myself want to get a a yummy Pizxza Hut pizza. I do think that it is a good thing to put on here what type sof items they sell. Like the different kinds of crusts , pizzas, etc. I think this gives the reader a better understanding of what pizza hut makes and why people like it. Wingstreet

Does this really belong in the Pizza Hut article? It's actually a seperate restraunt, in places. If this does, then Kentucky Fried Chicken, Long John Silvers, Taco Bell, Pepsi, and a half-dozen others do too. They actually have free standing wingstreets out here, as well as wingstreets built into restraunts other than PH. Industry

Uhh, the infobox says the industry is 'Food Wholesale'. I've never heard of anyone going to pizza hut to buy wholesale food.

The wiktionary defines wholesale as

1. The sale of products, often in large quantities, to retailers or other merchants

That term seems to describe a food franchise rather well, although it leaves out the fact that a franchise also sells marketing (branding) and other services to the franchise members as well... Zaphraud 06:42, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
