Wheeler Financial and Document Messaging Technologies
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello again! I have an additional request on behalf of Pitney Bowes, this time to add mention of Wheeler Financial's launch and improve sourcing about Document Messaging Technologies' sale to Platinum Equity. Re: Wheeler Financial, I propose the following addition:
- Pitney Bowes launched the subsidiary Wheeler Financial to provide equipment financing to small and medium businesses in March 2019.[1][2]

The current text "In mid 2018, Pitney Bowes' Document Messaging Technologies (DMT) division was acquired by Platinum Equity in exchange for $361 million, and the newly acquired business was re-branded as BlueCrest" is accurate, but sourced by press releases and the BlueCrest website. I propose replacing the currently used inline citations with this source, this source, and this source, which are formatted for use as inline citations below:

- Inkian Jason - I have no problems with these updates, they seem accurate and constitute a net improvement of the article. Could you just add these into a sandboxed version of the whole article though and I'd be happy to implement them through a copy and replace (I'm prone to make an error otherwise since the article's section are very long). - @Chetsford: Thanks for reviewing. I've completed your request here: User:Inkian Jason/Pitney Bowes. I saved the current markup before the proposed markup, so you can confirm proposed changes here. I hope this helps! Inkian Jason (talk) 18:03, 8 April 2020 (UTC)

Syncsort
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello again! I am back to submit an edit request on behalf of Pitney Bowes, this time to update text about Syncsort.
I propose removing: "In August of 2019, Syncsort announced it would acquire Pitney Bowes' Software Solutions business for $700M, hoping to close the deal by the end of the year.[1][2]" This sentence is factually accurate, but does not confirm the transaction's completion and uses a Syncsort press release as a citation.

I propose replacing the above content with the following, which eliminates the use of Syncsort.com as a source, formats the ZDNet source, and confirms the acquisition completion date: "In August 2019, Syncsort announced plans to acquire Pitney Bowes' software solutions business for approximately $700 million.[1] The transaction was completed in December 2019.[2]

- @Psinu: I see you have not edited since November 2019, but since you added content about Syncsort to the article I figured I'd bring this to your attention just in case. Thanks, Inkian Jason (talk) 16:25, 11 March 2020 (UTC)

Leadership update
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
@Chetsford: Thanks for your help above.
If you're willing I'd like to propose a final update to the article's "Leadership" section and infobox, which I've saved at the same draft page.
This change seeks to update the role for Lila Snyder, add mention of the president of Sending Technology Solutions, and remove the "buzzword" tag after "president of global SMB solutions". I understand why the "buzzword" tag is displayed after other appearances of "solutions" in the article, but in this case, "solutions" is part of the name of the role, so I don't think the "buzzword" tag applies the same way. I've updated the infobox as well to remove mention of the COO, who no longer works for the company, and update the name of the current chief innovation officer. If you agree, would you mind updating the live article based on this markup one more time?
Also, I have a question: Do you think the article should mention the company's centennial anniversary in some way?
Again, thanks for your previous assistance. Note: I've updated my original request here to incorporate this recent change to the Wikipedia article. I've verified the accuracy of this claim and provided a source for verifying the currently unsourced claim. Inkian Jason (talk) 21:30, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks to User:Atvelonis for updating the page. Inkian Jason (talk) 18:50, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Atvelonis: Sorry, but I noticed a typo. In the infobox, do you mind changing "Fairwheather" to "Fairweather"? Inkian Jason (talk) 19:48, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Additional leadership update
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
@Atvelonis: I'm so sorry, but I spoke too soon and I have one additional request to improve the accuracy of this article. Mark Shearer retired and Bob Guidotti worked on the Software Solutions business, which is no longer a part of Pitney Bowes. Therefore, I propose removing the red markup and replacing with the green markup:
- Other key personnel include: Mark Shearer, who serves as executive vice president, as well as president of global SMB solutions;[1] Lila Snyder, executive vice president and president of commerce services;[2] Bob Guidotti, president of software solutions;[3] and James A. Fairweather, who serves as chief innovation officer.[4] Jason Dies serves as executive vice president and president of Sending Technology Solutions.[5]

This change removes the two executive who no longer work at Pitney Bowes, and merges the two sentences into one.
If you agree with this change, would you mind updating the article on my behalf? Thank you. Inkian Jason (talk) 18:27, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, no worries. —Atvelonis (talk) 19:17, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks again. Inkian Jason (talk) 20:03, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Atvelonis: Michael Monahan's name has been removed from the infobox. To match the article body, do you mind removing "who continued in the role of chief operating officer" from the Leadership section, leaving simply, "In 2016, Stanley Sutula III was named executive vice president and chief financial officer; he succeeded Michael Monahan."? This should bring the page up to date. Thanks! Inkian Jason (talk) 19:49, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
