We should have an article on every pyramid and every nome in Ancient Egypt. I'm sure the rest of us can think of other articles we should have.
Cleanup.
To start with, most of the general history articles badly need attention. And I'm told that at least some of the dynasty articles need work. Any other candidates?
Standardize the Chronology.
A boring task, but the benefit of doing it is that you can set the dates !(e.g., why say Khufu lived 2589-2566? As long as you keep the length of his reign correct, or cite a respected source, you can date it 2590-2567 or 2585-2563)
Stub sorting
Anyone? I consider this probably the most unimportant of tasks on Wikipedia, but if you believe it needs to be done . . .
Data sorting.
This is a project I'd like to take on some day, & could be applied to more of Wikipedia than just Ancient Egypt. Take one of the standard authorities of history or culture -- Herotodus, the Elder Pliny, the writings of Breasted or Kenneth Kitchen, & see if you can't smoothly merge quotations or information into relevant articles. Probably a good exercise for someone who owns one of those impressive texts, yet can't get access to a research library.

Pithom and Ancient Egyptians have 0 to do with Jewish occult Bullshit. Egypt was not built by any "ancient Jews", "Kham, Bam, noah, abraham" but by Egyptians. This includes pyramids. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.165.112.176 (talk) 15:22, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This is just information that might be useful to anyone searching about this, egyptologist or other researcher interested article writer. The Chronicles of Jerahmeel elucidates a little further saying in chapter XLII that Pi Ramases was at one extremity Egypt, and Pithom was at the other extremity, upper Egypt. PiRamase is Avaris, if we are expecting Pithom to be in Lower Egypt that may give us a clue as to why it hasen't been identified. Jerahmeel goes on to say that these cities were storehouses of the kings implements of war. 2600:1004:B203:8EB6:7DB4:2EC3:D57D:59A5 (talk) 06:50, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Tell el-Retaba is not an earlier site. MacDonald and particularly Redmount found substantial residential areas at Tell el-Maskhuta dating to Hyksos times.

Can we even be sure that Pithom was an actual place? Do we have classical or historical references to it which are independent of the Hebrew Bible? PatGallacher (talk) 16:28, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
