UA ownership in the 1960s

[edit]

Apparently at the time the first Pink Panther movie was released, UA wasn't yet owned by Transamerica, but wasn't yet owned by MGM either. It had no owner back then. Stein256 (talk) 17:50, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The first sentence is true, in that Transamerica didn't acquire UA until 1967, and then MGM purchased UA from Transamerica in 1981. As of 1964, UA was its own publicly traded corporation whose stock was traded on the New York Stock Exchange. But that means UA probably had thousands of owners (stockholders). --Metropolitan90 (talk) 00:54, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Pink Panther in Roger Rabbit

[edit]

The section should not be here because he did not actually appear in it. I want Wikipedia to remove it. 96.18.182.191 (talk) 04:34, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

More immediately concerning to me is that the source provided isn't reliable. Unless a more reliable source can be provided, deletion seems like the clear path forward, but we can give it a few days to see whether a reliable source is presented, and if so, whether that changes how we feel about whether it should be mentioned. Ok that seems good. 96.18.182.191 (talk) 13:02, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also should we add something about that upcoming Pink Panther movie in that section. 96.18.182.191 (talk) 13:03, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is the first I'm hearing about such a movie; I think it would depend upon the character's relevance to it. If it's a movie like the Sellers and Martin films, then I'd emulate whatever's being done for them. DonIago (talk) 17:06, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
