Use in early air combat
[edit]Suggest removal entirely. This section appears to have virtually nothing to do with the article's subject. It seems to have been contributed by a fan of a particular German pilot rather than an authority on eyeglasses. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.147.139.206 (talk) 07:02, 12 May 2018 (UTC)
Roosevelt image
[edit]I understand why the picture is displayed but would it not make more sense to have a colour photo of someone wearing a pair at the top of the page so you get a clear picture of what pince-nez glasses are? The B&W image does help much in my opinion - but then maybe I'm in need of spectacles? (Aug 2010)

Image links here should be moved into Wikipedia and displayed. I would do this myself if not for the copyright issues. Hairy Dude 15:37, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
I believe the name of the Indian trip is Nez Perce
References
[edit]Basically, this article cites no sources apart from Dictionary.com for its pronunciation. There were once some sources, cited as in-text web links, which had gone dead and were removed. I tried to find some sources on Pince Nez, but had little luck, and what little I did find conflicted with a lot of the material already in the article. I'm really not sure where to go with this, and I don't want to go and rewrite the whole thing without significant and reliable sources. Mendaliv (talk) 20:29, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Question
[edit]What is the plural of pince-nez? Jackiespeel (talk) 11:12, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
From http://www.learn-french-help.com/french-plural-nouns.html
French nouns add -S to form their plural. Here are their exceptions Plural nouns ending -S, -X, -Z don’t changed
Le tas = les tas – heap
La croix = les croix – cross
Le nez = les nez – nose
So many pince-nez would be pince-nez. Although pince-nezes (pronounced American as 'pince-nezzes') is strangely appealing! (;
