As I recall, this fungus can also be triggered by a sudden drop in light level, such as would be caused by a fly passing directly in front of the sun. This lets the fungus hit the fly (since its spore cannon is pointed where the sun was and the fly is) and infect it. Does anyone have a cite for this? (Since 'As I recall' is insufficient citation for such a freaking cool fact, if it is a fact.) DMPalmer (talk) 04:13, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
