Reference or explanation please
[edit]The quotation “Je rendrai Vincennes quand on me rendra ma jambe” may will be lost in translation but could it not be explained or at least referenced? Humphrey Tribble (talk) 22:57, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- It's not much of a pun - it's just that rendre can mean both "surrender" and "return, give back." I added this to the article. Mahousu (talk) 16:05, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

- Interesting life, on few but good sources, French sources accepted AGF, o copyvio obvious. I prefer the original hook. The image is licensed but doesn't show too much in small size, and not only him, - so pictured might be better somewhere else in the hook. I miss an infobox, - it looks like about a painting at a glance. In the sentence about "youngest" I don't understand the "but", and one later, I don't see how intolerance to injustice is mischievous. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:14, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
