About two months ago, a new editor Christian adv edited this article. I know one should be welcoming to new editors, but Christian did not leave edit summaries so itis hard to know why this editor make the changes that he or she did. Christian removed all of the references to Katerina Dirgina to this article together with the fact that several Ukrainian citizens were arrested in 2016 in connection with the Dadak case. It is interesting that Christian let the fact that several Dutch, French, Spanish and Polish citizens were arrested as well, only removing the references to Ukrainian citizens. It is hard to see how this article improves the article. First thing, Dirgina has been only charged with money laundering and she is innocent until proven guilty. So far she has not been brought to trial and she has the right to a presumtion of innocence. Second, Dirgina probably fails the notability test. Merely being a model and the girlfriend of an arms dealer is not notable enough for an article. However, the purpose of an article is to give a good overview of a subject. Ms. Dirgina was not only Dadak's common-law wife, but also has been described as his business partner. Given the fact that she played a notable role in his life, she should be mentioned here. Third, besides for scrubbing this article clean of any mention of Dirgina, that is all Christian adv has done in the last two months. This does give rise to the suspicion that Christian is in fact Dirgina or at any rate a friend of hers. One can understand why Dirgina might not want an article mentioning her legal troubles, but does not mean an article should not mention her. It is a fact that Dirgina was Dadak's girlfriend and business partner and she was charged with money laundering in 2016. By that logic, the former dictator of Sudan, Omar al Bashir could go edit the article on him to remove that the ICC indicted him for genocide and crimes against humanity in 2009. He might not like that fact, but it is a fact. Christian's editing history does give rise to suspicions this editor might very well be Dirgina or a friend of Dirgina, and as such their edits to this article are suspect. --A.S.
