Used for spying?
[edit]I added this. I am somewhat incredulous as to whether this is real or fabricated by the guy who was making money on the tour, but the fact that the Washington Post published it and the other WP:RS did too, it may be true. It's hard not to laugh at this OpEd piece in the same paper. I couched it so as to indicate some suspicion. I welcome other thoughts, including the possibility this is just made up, or that it is sufficiently established in the WP:RS to say it was, in fact, used as a spy location. I'm calling the Park service too. I would think it would be on one of the plaques if it was true, but I didn't notice it. --David Tornheim (talk) 17:47, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
