[edit]

Pico da Bandeira was considered the higest mountain of Brasile, then in 1950 they discovered that Pico de Neblina was higher. So Pico da Bandeira should be the second, not the third; or there is an other mountain haigher than Pico da Bandeira or there is something wrong in the articole.

Can someone solve this question?

Thank you.

I know this question was asked like 1 year ago, but still il answer it...just in case.

Yes, i know it sounds quite confusing but the article is not incorrect. the most and the 2nd most high place in brazil are situated in the same area.so, when they explored the "pico da neblina" area they discovered both, the 1st and the 2nd most high mountain/place in brazil.I hope this helps clear up any further question about this. (I get my information from the portuguese wikipedia, where we have a list of mountains at here Oh, and the name of the 2nd most high is "Pico 31 de março" and its supposed to be located 687 meters from the "pico da neblina".Now, yes we could have some "conceptual" conflics as "but isnt it a secundary peak of the pico da neblina ?" etc etc, but until that (and i really doubt there will ever be any discussion on that) i will leave the article/articles as is.
