While I can appreciate the addition of the high school as a stub the sole primary source is a concern. The article has been tagged for references since 2011. I am sure there are some local and maybe even regional (not related to games of the school) sourcing on the subject. I am not sure yet that the school is notable enough to warrant a standalone article and will have to look into community practice concerning high schools article. I am looking into the community of Pickering for an article. The post office for the area is out of New Llano, Louisiana so it might have to be an historical article of Pickering, as a sawmill town, and a possible merge of the school article.
Not sure the direction yet and just exploring but "notability" includes that if the only source(s) we have (available or found) is primary, then there is indication of a lack of such notability. Otr500 (talk) 13:18, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Note: The source I referred to is not only primary it is listed in the "External links" section and article stubs, while sometimes sourced with a "general source", it is not currently acceptable to be sourced from a primary" link". Otr500 (talk) 13:21, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have lived in the area most of my life. I am trying to gather enough material to create an article on the historical Pickering. A problem with this article is notability. The subject needs sourcing to pass WP:ORG and I can't find it. There are tags on the article from 2011 and 2018 that have not been addressed nor comments by me. There has been an edging towards trying to assert a presumption of notability for high schools but sourcing is still required. Otr500 (talk) 01:42, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
