Probable vandalism

[edit]

Today I deleted the last sentence, which stated, "There are plans to add a permanent exhibition to the platform, celebrating the life of world-famous Romanian pianist Victor Nicoara."

When this sentence was added, on December 23, 2011, it was done via an IP address, not a registered Wikipedia account, no supporting evidence was offered, and Nicolae Ceaușescu's name was in parentheses immediately following Nicoara's name. Ceaușescu's name was deleted in another edit from the same IP address two minutes later. Edits to this page since then have not touched this sentence.

Although Nicoara is a talented and famous pianist, I don't see evidence to support anything about an exhibition about him at the station, nor any construction in the six years the statement was posted. The corresponding page on the Romanian version of Wikipedia makes no mention of this exhibit, either. Although absence of finding information is not proof, especially because of the mention of Ceaușescu, I believe that this was undetected vandalism and have therefore deleted the sentence.

I will be happy to be corrected (with citations or proof, of course).
