Notable alumni
As per my edit summary I'm discussing in depth why I deleted people from the notable alumni list. The first reason is that it reflects poorly on Pi Beta Phi to have a bunch of people who are supposed to be notable but do not have a wiki article of their own. I did go throughout the list and link what could be linked (e.g. mispelled names eg Margaret Truman Daniels) The second reason is that Wikipedia is (WP:NOT) not a repository for links, the white pages or yellow pages, and it's not "Lists or repositories of loosely associated topics such as quotations, aphorisms, or persons (real or fictional)". I think as long as the Pi Beta Phi's notable alumni page is linked to the wiki page then all of the redlinked persons are not necessary anyway. If you have a problem with this change please discuss it on here before reinstating the red links. Thanks --ImmortalGoddezz 04:41, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Pi beta phi badge.jpg
Image:Pi beta phi badge.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

File:Pi beta phi founders.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion
An image used in this article, File:Pi beta phi founders.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

Parkersburg Art Center controversy
Apparently, the Pi Beta Phi chapter in Athens Ohio was involved in quite a mess in when they rented the Parkersburg Art Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia, for a dinner dance and subsequently trashed the place. A letter from the director of the center, addressed to the chapter preseident, details the damage. The Center issued a further statement about the event. I don't know enough about it to dare add a reference to the page, and I imagine that the sorority's members would prefer that it not be here, but I thought I'd raise it so that somebody with access to better sources could make a call as to whether to add it.
