Where Dance for All is referred to in the biography on Phyllis Spira, could a link to the Dance for All website be created please? Dance for All (talk) 08:54, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Prove it!

[edit]

I challenge the assertion that Spira was appointed prima ballerina assoluta: no supporting evidence is given; chapter & verse is needed. If indeed the President of SA made the decision, there will be an official record which can and should be cited. See comments on the talk page of Ballerina. The date of the putative promotion (1984) puts it beyond our usual reference work: Mary Clarke and David Vaughan (eds) 1977. The encyclopedia of dance & ballet. Pitmans, London. Her pba is supported in most obituaries, though not mentioned in the Guardian. No clear case, then, for removing this dancer from the pba category. The evidence is contained within Botha, A. Phyllis Spira: A Tribute. Cape Town: 1988. This is the definitive biography on Spira and was published in 1988. --Cazo3788 (talk) 18:15, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

For goodness sake

[edit]

Get a freaking life...! The woman was regarded as one of the best ballerina's in the world and also contributed towards the upliftment of thousands of township children...and you're going to challenge something that is "symbolic and in recognition of a notable career"...you need help. --41.243.136.202 (talk) 20:39, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
