Highest free-standing Buddha statue of the world

[edit]

It is highlighted by a 15.87 m (52 ft) high Buddha statue, which is considered to be the highest free-standing Buddha statue of the world.
What?!? The world's highest statue is a Buddha statue, and it is over 100 meters higher than this. It is just as 'free-standing' as this is. Both of them have pedestal, so that could/should not be the reason. Plus, there are many more just 'only' 50 meters high, which is over 3 times this statue. 82.141.67.243 (talk) 00:33, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct; the 116 metre Laykyun Sekkya in Myanmar is currently the tallest statue of Gautama Buddha in the world. I have removed the erroneous statement. DiverDave (talk) 20:11, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
