I made some improvements to the text, but upon further inspection it seems more like advertising and lacking notability. I'm still new to Wikipedia so I don't feel comfortable making the call or flagging it, but wanted to raise the question for others with more experience to contribute. malware?
[edit]Several sources report that the package was bundled with adware which is considered malware called OpenCandy. See here for example.
This anti-malware antivirus website wrote the following on the Setup.exe of PhotoScape:
- Sample was identified as malicious by a large number of Antivirus engines
- Sample was identified as malicious by at least one Antivirus engine
- The analysis spawned a process that was identified as malicious
- Installation/Persistance: Writes data to a remote process
Each of those assertions is followed by details for the source of the information. פשוט pashute ♫ (talk) 23:12, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
