Talk:Phoenix Force (novel)

Well, I greatly expanded it, particularly regarding character info. It could use some more work though. Any Bolan fans out there who can edit the article? - KingRaptor 14:37, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
A sentence on this page and Able Team's page states "As with The Executioner, the Phoenix Force novels have been written by a succession of authors..." Don Pendleton wrote the first 38 books in The Executioner. That sentence makes it seem like he developed the series, but never wrote any of the books. I would ask that you please give him the credit due. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.56.209.47 (talk) 06:26, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
Other Teammates
[edit]I added information about Keio Ohara and T.J. Hawkins to this section. I also added detailed information about Karl Hahn and John Trent some days earlier.
It should be noted that in recent novels, T.J.'s name has been given at Thomas Jefferson Hawkins. His middle name of Jackson was established in Stony Man #24: Bird Of Prey, so I have listed that name in his entry. Anonymous 21:44, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Stony Man Article
[edit]I recently created a separate article for the Stony Man novel and would like to add the entry detailing Brognola, Grimaldi and Kurtzman to it. And003 20:40, 16 November 2006 (CST)
Follow-Up
[edit]My Stony Man article has been completed, so I merged the info about Brognola, Grimaldi and Kurtzman to it. I hope there is no inconvenience. And003 12:21, 17 November 2006 (CST)
Some recommendations
[edit]Some of the sections of the article (the character bios on T.J Hawkins and Karl Hahn, as well as the info on MERGE and TRIO) could stand to be trimmed/condensed somewhat. The bios are significantly longer than the info on the other characters, and the sections on the criminal organizations are possibly too lengthy, particularly for someone who's not familiar with Phoenix Force.
Oh, and be sure to obey the rules of Wikipedia (particularly WP:NOR) when contributing to the article. This is a great article, and I really wouldn't want to see all our hard work flushed down the toilet faster than McCarter can finish a can of Coke. - KingRaptor 01:43, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
Reply
[edit]As far as the lengthy bios on T.J. Hawkins and Karl Hahn are concerned ... well, that couldn't be helped. Still, thanks for raising those valid points. And003 11:43, 29 November 2006 (CST)
Fan site tag
[edit]I just tagged this article for fansite. There seems to be huge amounts of detail into the nuances of the characters, and hardly any regarding the series impact to the real world. Any actual content about the plot of the novels themselves seems to be only incidental to exposition about the characters. Additionally, the tone of the character bios is overly sensationalized, instead of a simple explanation of the characters. I'm not trying to criticise the efforts of everyone that's contributed to the article, but you guys have gotten off-track at some point. EvilCouch 10:43, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- I took the liberty of chopping an entire section and rewriting a few sentences. It still needs some work, but I think it's safe to remove the fansite tag, so I did. If anyone needs the old content, the edit is here. - KingRaptor 03:00, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
