- One wonders and it's a pity there's no provenance for the picture, but Encyclopedia Britanica 11 must be verifiable. "Accordance" for tuning sounds like translationese, and "Monaco di Baviera" would have to be Munich. MGG (to which I don't have full access) seems to have a hit for Philomele' in the article Streichinstrumentenbau. If only we had a blue link for bowed melodion, missing from Schlesinger's contributions! Sparafucil (talk) 07:45, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
