I appreciated the detail about the mating process and phylogeny in this article and it is well written throughout. I have added a paragraph about using neonicotinoids specifically as a pest control chemical and its effects on P. cespitum. Along with that, I mentioned two natural enemies found for this species. I really like your entry; it is really well organized! I didn’t change many things in your entry, I just add some hyperlinks to some of the terms you used, and I made some minor grammatical changes; I really like the way is written. Also, I have some recommendations: 1) in some of the sections there is no citation (e.g., Genital Plugs, Courtship); 2) in some of the sections of your entry there are only lines (e.g., Diet, Reproduction and life cycle, Phylogeny), I think it would be better if you try to make a paragraph out of them, in that way it would be easier to read; 3) if there is a map of the distribution of this species you should add it to the entry. I think that your Wikipedia article is really well written with great information. Once thing I changed was the “Habitat and Distribution” heading as I thought that this could just be one rather than two subheadings as the subheadings were pretty short. I also edited some areas of sentence structure and bits of grammar to make the sentences flow a little better rather than it being a set of bullet points. I also added links to words such as egg sacs and hibernation to help people will less knowledge understand the article better. I think that overall the details in your article were great. That being said there were some areas that could have used more attention like the “life span” and “molting” sections. I think your article was really well done and there was some things that I did not know even spiders could do! One thing that I did notice was that many of the headings/subheadings did not really have that much information in them. For example, “activity”, “parasites”, and “other enemies” had limited details. I combined the “parasites” and “other enemies” section as I thought the “enemies” section would have more substance when the two were combined. Otherwise I made a few grammatical changes and added links to words like “cocoon” to help the readers understand the article better. I think one thing that you could add are more concepts that are related to the class topics. In the “mating” section, there is already a lot of great pieces of information but I think it would be even better if you could link some of those ideas to the concepts we have covered in class. shutaro.hayashihara (talk) 12:24, 29 November 2020 (CST)
