"Thomasites"

The sentence "That year, around 600 educators in the S.S. Thomas (the "Thomasites") to replace the soldiers who had been serving as the first teachers" is missing a verb. What does it mean? --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 01:53, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
