[edit]I believe Prof. Wadler is an American, not British
Indeed, Phil Wadler is an American, as is Don Sannella, however both work in Edinburgh (Wadler formerly a Glasgow), so I believe that that is the reasoning.

Why has recent History and Talk on this page been deleted?
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians, This page has been the subject of some contentious editing in recent months, which I have cited as part of the debate about material related to ada, Cardano and IOHK being deleted. Some editors regard any reference to IOHK as 'spam'. But all the history of these changes has been deleted. Why is this? The Talk and History pages are important in understanding what has being going on and the nature of the objections. Part of the deleted content included: This addition was reverted: 18:32, 29 December 2018 David Eppstein (talk | contribs) . . (10,497 bytes) -1,949 . . (Undo IOHK blockchain spam; see Wikipedia:General sanctions/Blockchain and cryptocurrencies) (undo)

Who deleted 18 months of History and Talk on this page?
[edit]There is a dotted line after 30 November 2017, which is when the history is deleted.
How can anyone do this? I thought Wikipedia was transparent in its actions. I would like some help in getting this major edit restored. curprev 13:29, 2 May 2019 IOHKwriter talk contribs 2,349 bytes +991 undo curprev 14:31, 30 November 2017 IOHKwriter (talk) 09:14, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
