Van Sinderen
[edit]Also I can't figure out for the life of me why Philip named his son after the merchant Adrian Van Sinderen (or even "Van Sinderen" in relation to someone else). Like naming one son after Berrien (surname), okay, there are a few options. But Van Sinderen? There was a merchant Adrian Van Sinderen (1772–1843)—who went on to spawn many subsequent Adrians after our Adrian V.S. Lindsley's birth—but I can't see what contemporaneous connection Philip would have had if they didn't even live in the same state. If anyone has ideas why he did this, please do {{ping}} me.
