Surely:

should read:

• At the inaugural ceremony of the Shrewsbury School war memorial his lack of physical fitness and his courage were noted ....

Otherwise it reads is if he lacked both fitness and courage. I can't see anything useful in the cited source. Ben MacDui 19:11, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
