[edit]Mutlu and Amos Lee moved to the bottom, because the original artists of the classic period (late 60s to early 70s) should be listed first if it isn't alphabetical (and it wasn't).
I've heard David Bowie's Young Americans album described as a foray into Philly soul as he worked with artists there - add to article? (ricjl (talk) 13:43, 28 July 2008 (UTC))
I'll be rewriting this article in a few days. The artist section at the bottom needs to be made into a list with linked names. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jpw5x4 (talk • contribs) 02:10, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Jacksons ?
[edit]After the Jacksons broke with Motown, Jermaine stayed behind, as did the rights to the Jackson 5 name, and the new band had a lot of Philly to it. Should be referenced IMHO elpincha (talk) 01:36, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Big Reference Problems
[edit]There are only 3 incline cites and they validate a tiny part of the assertions in the article. There are good references, but they aren't cited. I agree with most of the article, but I'm not a reliable source. (-: This article needs to be properly documented. Hence the problem tags. Tapered (talk) 23:14, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
Expansion needed?
[edit]I hadn’t seen this article before now. But I would have expected a History section, with more information, and at the very least a list of artists, albeit noted as incomplete. Hopefully this will happen. Boscaswell talk 21:00, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
