[edit]Neal's Nationality
It is obvious that the author(s) of the articles on prominent Liverpool players dislike identifying them by nationality, especially when that nationality is English. I'm not altogther sure why - my guess would be that it stems from the well attested club-country rivalry/antipathy of many LFC fans. They may or may not have legitimate grievances on this score, but the fact is that Neal et al ought to be identified as being English, Scottish, Welsh etc. It's not a controversial or even a debatable point.
Liverpool FC footballers seem to be unique among the peoples of the world in not having a nationality - this is not sensible or justifiable, and it is decidely unencyclopaedic and therefore out of place on Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shiresman (talk • contribs) 15:51, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
No mention of him being England assistant manager either
[edit]His unfortunate tenure under Graham Taylor. From the IMDB - "Neal became something of a joke figure after a fly on the wall documentary that followed Taylor's ill fated spell in charge of England, showed that Neal never offered any advice of his own and simply agreed with everything that Taylor said."
