[edit]Phil Lane also led a very interesting life. Additionally to the umpriring, he also during the war was sent to Tasmania on weekends to Umpire. He then turned to cricket, bowling , and if anyone is interested I can provide a very interesting account of his 95 years of life. He was also a v ery successful businessman too.
I will place in a picture of him too on my next talk.
