Notability analysis
[edit]Looking at WP:MUSICBIO, this is looking borderline but plausible for notability - two obituaries (including one in a major newspaper), some material in two books, some mentions in magazines. His band isn't independently notable, but he performed with several notable bandleaders. It's enough coverage to tell a non-stub story about a person who was part of a popular and influential music scene for decades, so I'd consider it good enough.
