[edit]If he's a Doctor Who fan and he hates The Sweeney, what does he think of Life On Mars and Ashes To Ashes, which have time-travel elements? Dolmance (talk) 22:56, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Stepping down
[edit]OK, so I'm sure the various fora are full of speculation about why Collinson is "taking a holiday", but do we have anything solid besides the official website's statement (which really does sound like they're being polite about something)? We don't want to report rumours here (unless they're repeated somewhere notable, I suppose) but it would be nice to have some more information. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 08:38, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
- On the Love & Monsters commentary, he says that Leggat is doing two episodes while he goes on holiday to New York around December time. Angmering 10:21, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Phil Collinson.jpg
[edit]Image:Phil Collinson.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:14, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
NPOV
[edit]I can't help but notice that the section criticizing Collinson's use of gay issues in Coronation Street relies entirely on references to conservative Christian groups and the Daily Mail - both sources that are, shall we say, prone to whipping up a moral panic on minimal evidence. Surely there are people who like Collinson's tenure on Coronation Street that can be inserted to counterbalance two agenda-driven sources. 108.213.200.251 (talk) 18:05, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

Clear bias against Collinson's gay-themed storylines on Coronation Street
[edit]The only source given for claims that Coronation Street's ratings suffered due to 'too many' gay characters and storylines was two separate Daily Mail articles, one of which was an opinion piece from Brian Sewell - possibly the most notoriously self-loathing homosexual piublic figure of recent years, writing in a famously right-wing, 'political correctness gone MAD!' tabloid. These are clearly biased sources (and the Sewell piece also seems to think that Damon Rochefort, a writer on the show, was a) in charge of casting and b) wrote every single script). I've attempted to bring some sanity to this section. Smurfmeister (talk) 11:38, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
