The result of the move request was: Moved to Phil Berger (politician).. Per consensus, move Philip E. Berger to Phil Berger (politician) and no moves to the dab page. (closed by non-admin page mover) – robertsky (talk) 14:33, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
– The politician seems to be the overwhelmingly WP:PRIMARY. HandsomeFella (talk) 07:07, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- Support Pageviews are only 77%, but the father has more long-term significance/prominence as of now. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 17:53, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- https://wikinav.toolforge.org/?language=en&title=Phil_Berger doesn't even render at all. When we add the disambiguation page into the previous pageviews link like this we see that it ceased being viewed about a year ago. I would guess that the search engines picked up on the titles and resolved ambiguous searches themselves. With so little organic traffic that we can't even identify it (a dozen a month?), is there any point in making any change here? --Joy (talk) 08:02, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- The point is WP:COMMONNAME, but I forgot to mention it. He is usually referred to as Phil Berger. HandsomeFella (talk) 08:44, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- Sure, but then I'd go for Phil Berger (politician) first. --Joy (talk) 14:42, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- I'll accept that if that's the concensus. HandsomeFella (talk) 18:34, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

- Oppose as proposed, but would support Philip E. Berger → Phil Berger (politician) per Joy. Both the father and the son are indeed referenced as "Phil", rather than as "Philip". —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 07:06, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
