Scientologists Control Wikipedia Too?
[edit]That would explain a lot. And be yet another reason to abandon this silly pointless (and potentially dangerous) site.
Poor Plot Summary
[edit]I'm going to enlargen this plot significantly in the coming days. It's a shame that such a great film doesn't have a very thorough plot summary.

Is the ending noted in the artcile the actual ending? I seem to remember it ending in the bar where everyone was celebrating George's birthday. Lochdale 19:25, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- I just watched the movie on HBO and you are correct. I'll see what I can do about changing it. --DalkaenT/C 15:32, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- I changed it, and while I was at it, removed the ridiculous HTML comment about how the editor would be adding "much much more" content and how any efforts by others to further edit the article would be reverted. That is quite simply against the spirit of Wikipedia. --DalkaenT/C 15:32, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
The Plot section starts with "George Malley (John Travolta) is a kind but slow witted auto mechanic". I don't see what in the movie warranted this "slow witted" qualifier. By all expressions he is just as average as everyone around him, barring his doc who's the smarter one (as evidenced by him teaching chess to him). Unless you mean that all farmers and common people are slow witted, which would be an indictment in itself, that qualifier is just untrue or biased.88.165.248.121 (talk) 17:50, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
- Isn't "kind but average auto mechanic" just as lame? Or are "kind auto mechanics" usually only either dumb or smart? I've tried to word it so it's not condescending or inaccurate. Wokepedian (talk) 07:42, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
