Unfortunately this is yet another example of a self-promoting Facebook-style entry. Onselen is a minor journalist cum minor political staffer cum minor academic who has not yet done anything of note. While Personally It hink the mans an idiot, he's not "insignificant". He's a professor whos a regular television and radio guest and has written book. So he is significant. Unfortunately he's also someone who went on record claiming the Nazis where socialists. So, god knows how he actually finished his undergraduate, let alone a Doctorate and Professorship. Articles exist if they meet WP:NOTABILITY which van Onselen does, as a noted academic, columnist for a major newspaper and host of several national television programs. Capatilising surname

Unless I'm mistaken, when beginning a sentence with just his surname, the letter V in as in van Onselen should NOT be capitalised. User:Whats new?^(talk) 01:15, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
