Conflict of interest

[edit]

Usze:kkrueger, the original author of this article who has made most of its edits, made some edits that, according to the edit summary, were done at the request of Ungar. This demonstrates a clear conflict of interest, and calls into question whether Ungar is indirectly using this article for self-promotion. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 15:14, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's no conflict of interest. I'm a student and new to this, and messed up my edit summary. Sorry!!!! And I'm also working on the notability. Prof. Ungar is one of the world's leading authorities on paleodiet, so I'm going to post this articles - I hope this will help clear up this issue.  :-) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kkrueger (talkcontribs) 16:03, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I thought being a "distinguished" professor was a point of notability? I'm going to add links from Discovery Channel, NSF, etc. as well for notability.
Well, "distinguished" is sometimes a subjective term, so it doesn't really help. The additional references help greatly, though, and I'm pretty sure you've established notability here. And have you noticed how the references and citations and such are a lot like school term papers? It's the same principle — you have to back up what you write about someone or something. :-) Don't worry about being a Wikipedia newbie. We all were once. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 02:03, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
