Personal anecdotes
[edit]many moons ago at carnegie mellon university i had peter stearns as a professor and he was my advisor for my honors thesis. i learned a lot from him and probably owe him gratitude 1000 times over. if you are lucky enough to be able to take a class from him, do not hesitate.

I've been listening to A Brief History of the World and have really enjoyed it. Gave me an appreciation of history that was fairly narrow and western centric before. I've been reading further into topics he covered and have really learned a lot. Thank you Professer Stearns —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.120.116.177 (talk) 00:18, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
References
[edit]Added reference to "About" page on Peter N. Stearns at George Mason University. Also, edited linked Journal of Social History to note he has edited one of the "most widely-cited journals of historical research in the United States” -- http://chnm.gmu.edu/jsh/index.html -- since 1967, as sourced on that page's References section.

Human Legacy
[edit]I have only one question: why so many,to say very polite,"mistakes" in your books? Why you didn't explain main battle by village BORODINO in Russian campaign, which was the main cause of Napoleon loss? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.188.14.253 (talk) 15:20, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
