I decided to start reviewing this article for GA.Blue Pumpkin Pie (talk) 00:06, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: There are a few glaring issues on this article that need to be addressed. Since this is a video game character more than a comic book character. The article should use the regular template:infobox so it doesn't cause confusion. The lead doesn't need any references, but it should reflect accurately what the reviews are saying. Only one source seemed to use the word authentic, so it shouldn't reflect over multiple critics. The information on the prequel novel in the development section seems more like padding and would be better off in the Spider-Man (2018 video game) article instead. The prequel novel doesn't provide any distinct character creation information other than just making sure it didn't break continuity. Another option is to include it as part of the publication history, but separate the Publication history from the Development section, as that also doesn't provide any information related to the character's creation. In other media and Merchandise seem to be too small on their own and should be combined. I'm not sure if his costume counts as "in other media" myself. The plot for the comic introduction is confusing and doesn't make a coherent summary of the plot. WhatCulture and DualShockers are both considered unreliable sources from WP:VG/RS and should be removed. I'll put this on hold, but I'm also not confident with how little reception there is for the character and may ask for a second opinion on this one. So I do recommend trying to find more reception information too.Blue Pumpkin Pie (talk) 01:12, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
- Template:Infobox character might be a good alternative. Argento Surfer (talk) 13:02, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Blue Pumpkin Pie:. I did a lot of what you asked and then some. So I am hoping for more proofreading / reviewing if you don’t mind. Also if you or anyone knows of more reception info just let me know. I will be looking for some. Jhenderson 777 20:17, 27 August 20−19 (UTC)
- So i decided that this article has far too many issues to fix immediately. And any fixes currently being done only introduced more issues. The main problem is that this article wants to be like a comic-book character article when it should just be character article. I'm going to list some things that will help the article.

- For one, the "Personal Suit" section should be renamed to "Design". There is a lot of quotations in the article for content that could be paraphrased to just a few words. I'm looking at the "Creation" and "Personal suits" with unnecessary long quotes.
- For the publication history it is too detailed and it doesn't do a good job making it easy to understand for first-time readers. There is no need to have a play-by-play on Spider-man's actions in Spider-Geddon. I advise to just have a brief explanation of what the story was about and remove all the details. Remember this is mostly a video-game character article and they're more strict about the in-universe content. Until the comic's canon eclipses the video game, I suggest keeping the in-universe and fancruft to a bare minimum. I can't advise on how to fix it, only what to avoid.
- The story of Spider-Man in "Role in the game" doesn't need to go into detail on the backstory or mention the voice actors of the other characters. All it is is a brief summary.
- The reception section introduces the reviewers name but what website they are from. Re-read the Reception
- This sentence in the Merchandise and marketing made no sense: "Various merchandise revolved around the character during the upcoming release of the video game the character starred in"
- There is a possibility this article can be a GA some day, but for now I recommend looking into GA articles.Blue Pumpkin Pie (talk) 05:59, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
- I forgot to mention this, but there really only need one infobox.Blue Pumpkin Pie (talk) 06:06, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Blue Pumpkin Pie:. No need to fail this and give up yet. I can fix all this being said. Jhenderson 777 12:09, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
- I have made GA articles on both video game and comic book character articles. No need to lecture me on looking into other GA articles when I have done them. I suggest a revaluation when I get your problems fixed. Jhenderson 777 17:30, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
- The biggest problem is it wants to be a comic book character article and a video game character article and combines both styles. you're going to have to make a big choice on how the article should be organized. Look at other GAs for multimedia characters.Blue Pumpkin Pie (talk) 17:53, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
@Blue Pumpkin Pie:I am making it into a video game article mostly since that’s what he originally is. I am copy editing on the publication history with your suggestions next as we speak. Jhenderson 777 18:19, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
