Page Creation (8 June 2020)
[edit]I created this page in disbelief at the oversight that one didn't already exist. Milne's documentary work is linked to the Melbourne punk scene as well as the formative years of Melbourne's comedy scene. A few of his monographs collect that work and serve as both historical references and foundational for his own art practice.
I would love some help in producing the rest of the page.
Here's some references that might help:
- Photos of Melbourne’s Grimy and Golden Past
- In search of Melbourne's times past, Peter Milne revisits old images
- Peter Milne Beautiful Lies: Notes Towards a History of Australia
- Monash Gallery of Art
- Milne's photos used in an obituary of poet John Giorno written by Penny Arcade
I've been trying to find references to his more recent political work, but that might require delving into academic texts.
Thanks
