I did not make any speculation
[edit]Frickeg has misrepresented me when I said that it is unknown whether Frankston East voters had voted the same way in the supplementary election than the way they voted in the general election.
Speculation is about guessing one outcome or another. I made no such speculation as how Frankston East voters voted on the general election day because I have stated the votes were destroyed upon learning of McLellan's death before proceeding to the supplementary election. Hence why the outcome of the vote from the general election is unknown.
An unknown result is not speculation is just mere fact. 58.109.94.172 (talk) 21:47, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
- This is unsourced, though. You need to provide a source saying that the votes were destroyed following McLellan's death. I would say that saying that the outcome of the votes is unknown is a natural consequence of them being, you know, destroyed before being counted. I still want the last sentence of the final paragraph removed, because I think it is unnecessary and, yes, close to speculation. Frickeg (talk) 23:15, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
