Info needed re Categories
[edit]I was working on moving articles from Category:Nonviolence into Category:Nonviolence advocates when I came across this article. Obviously, as a Catholic Worker, Maurin personally subscribed to Nonviolence as a philosophy, but there's nothing in the article to support categorizing him as a "Nonviolence advocate". It would be helpful if somebody could add some text that supports his inclusion in that category (assuming, of course, that he did, in fact, actively promote the use of nonviolence in social justice struggles).
I also have a question about the nature of Maurin's connection with the Industrial Workers of the World. Again, the article says nothing about this. Was he in fact a member of the IWW? If so, the article should be placed in Category:Industrial Workers of the World members. I'll check back in a few days to see if my questions have been answered. Thanks in advance. Quote (box)
[edit]Finally figured out how to fix the quote box! A quote had been left here, but only the source was visible on the article page. While reading over the quote on the edit page in order to make it visible, I thought maybe a better quote was in order. I think the quote I provided is more informative re Peter. I also think Dorothy's final two lines are touching.
That said, if someone feels a better quote is out there, or wants to add a second quote box, please feel free to discuss and add. Beansandveggies (talk) 09:18, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Peter Maurin. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}

- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20080514070310/http://www.catholicworker.com/cwo003.htm to http://www.catholicworker.com/cwo003.htm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
