Death announced
[edit]I have deleted this as there appears to be no authoritative confirmation for the moment. It was indeed referred to on BBC Radio 3 (twice), but nowhere else. The reference to the Friends of Radio 3 Forum was only reporting what had been said on Radio 3, and was therefore secondhand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ioan Dyfrig (talk • contribs) 09:20, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

- I too heard this on R3. I don't doubt that it is true, but it's necessary to wait for more reliable information on the exact date of Mr Katin's death before posting formal text here. The tributes in the papers will follow in due course, but once the exact date of death is established, it would be valid to cite the In Tune broadcast date as the source. - You got in just before me! Thanks. Ioan_Dyfrig (talk) 22:42, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- References are duly cleaned up. Since we now have formal print obituaries, that is why I removed the Friends of Radio 3 Forum reference (chat boards don't really qualify as references in any case, in general principle). DJRafe (talk) 16:47, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Education
[edit]The article says he was educated at the Whitgift School, South Croydon; however in the interview with David Wright (see References) he himself says he was educated at private schools in Balham, Caterham, East Grinstead and Clapham. --rossb (talk) 18:26, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
- I've made the correction (having consulted PK himself; I appreciate this doesn't count as evidence, but the correct version has a source, whereas the incorrect statement about Whitgift school was unreferenced.--rossb (talk) 21:52, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
