[edit]Good Morning and Thank you for listening: I filed for SSI disability over a year and half ago. Like so many others have been denied twice and now waiting for a hearing on my disability. They have diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, stroke, angina of the heart, and now possible cancer (I will find out hopefully today). I can not walk either unless I use a cane or walker. Sometimes I need a wheelchair which I can afford. I hired an attorney, Wolfe and Hogan, to receive any response I have to contact them for any updates. I was told the process takes 20 to 22 months for hearing date. I asked what happens to the people who can't wait that long and the response is that they either find work or they die. Well, my only option is to die. After over a month of my second denial, I contacted my attorney to see when the request was done to schedule my hearing and they had not even summitted my request for a hearing until after I called. They do not contact at all by telephone or mail for updates. I would fire them but I am scared it would put me further down on the list. I live in my brother-in-law's house who has paid all the bills up to this point until I receive my benefits. Now, the house is in foreclosure and I haven't received word as to when I will have to leave but I have no where to go. Most Americans in this situation have lost their home because of this not due to poor economy. PLEASE! PLEASE! Will you help all of America who is in the same position I am in with finding out why this branch of government has been forgotten in importance of serving the American people who worked all their lives and invested into this program is being denied fair treatment in receiving their money or why this program is being pushed behind the curtains and ignored. Thank you so much for listening and hope you will consider looking into this situation. I think the only reason is the longer they keep Americans money the longer they draw interest. Thank you again!
