Barbara Jenkins
[edit]The article fails to mention the important contributions of Peter Jenkins's former wife, Barbara. They were married when he had completed only half of his walk across America in the 70's. She accompanied him the rest of the way, enduring every difficulty and hardship he did, until the end of the trek, which took almost two years. She then was a co-author to both The Walk Across America and The Walk West. She didn't accompany Jenkins on his trip to China, because she was heavily pregnant. However, she and their children did resettle in Alaska for many months when he was curious to explore and write about the state.
Although Peter and Barbara Jenkins eventually divorced, no article about him would be complete without mentioning his partner of many years. Younggoldchip (talk) 16:12, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
