City Council service
[edit]According to an obituary in the Pittsburgh Evening Gazette for January 5, 1940, McArdle served on City Council for 28 years. I'd need to do some more research to firm up the dates, but an accurate number is worth finding.
Reference to his terms in City Council and how the Mount Washington Roadway came to be named for him can be found at this website, http://www.brooklineconnection.com/history/Facts/McArdle.html, though it has no citations. Kelelain (talk) 12:41, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
