Birth date
[edit]the Hendonmob's Eastgate mini bio list him as "the youngest ever WSOP Main Event in 2008 at the age of 22 years, 10 months and 28 days, breaking Phil Hellmuth's previous record by nearly 2 years." here, If this is correct this his Birthdate would be December 14, 1985.
- via Date calculator
- 11/11/2008 (started 11/10/2008 but the Main Event played past midnight PST) - 22 years, 10 months and 28 days = December 14, 1985. anyway I don't think it would be correct to list 1986 as the year of birth as it sometime in mid December 1985.▪◦▪≡SiREX≡Talk 19:22, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Final table odds
[edit]The article currently says:
"Eastgate reached the final table with 18,375,000 in starting chips; his odds of winning were 4-1 according to Danny Sheridan of USA Today — the same odds Sheridan gave Scott Montgomery who had 19,690,000 in starting chips, but weaker odds than Ivan Demidov (at 3-1 with 24,400,000 in starting chips) and Dennis Phillips (at 3-1 with 26,295,000 in starting chips)."
Neither of the two USA Today references mention "Danny Sheridan's odds". Moreover, he's a sports handicap columnist/tipster not a bookmaker, so his odds don't carry much weight. The actual final table odds were approximately Eastgate $6.00, Montgomery $5.60, Demidov $5.00, Phillips $4.90 (I know this because I shopped around for the best odds at the time, before ultimately placing my losing bet on Demidov). Anyhow, my suggestion is to remove the unnecessary betting details and just make mention of the relative size of his chip stack. Thoughts? Hazir (talk) 00:38, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
Nickname
[edit]The article currently states that Peter Eastgate has two nicknames; "Icegate" and "Isser." I don't know about anybody else, but I've never heard of "Isser" before. This reference[1] regarding the nickname was given on the List of World Series of Poker Main Event champions article (Reference number 7) and I can't find anything about Isser on that link, either. Anybody have any objections to me deleting it? JaeDyWolf ~ Baka-San (talk) 22:00, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Order of events
[edit]I think that since it is the last thing to happen chronologically, his taking a break statement should be moved to the bottom of his poker career section - or possibly be given its own section, at the bottom. 58.8.2.82 (talk) 09:43, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
- I agree. I'll give it its own subsection at the bottom. JaeDyWolf ~ Baka-San (talk) 21:23, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
