Sephardic/Ashkenazi?
just wondering what the source is for the Sephardic/Ashkenazi parentage of Coyote, since his parents are also my grandparents. Jessamyn 04:40, 12 September 2005 (UTC)
- I'd like to know too, because I wrote this bio (for the most part), and I've never heard that before. Maybe you could ask him, Jessamyn? - Davis21Wylie 05:35, 12 September 2005 (UTC)
- Well he says the birthdate and location are wrong but the Sepharidic/Ashkenazi designations are right on. I'll do some minor edits to fix the errors. Jessamyn 03:17, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
- Truly cool to be able to get it right from the (Coyote)'s mouth, so to speak! By the way, his agent or somebody needs to tell IMDB about the faulty birthdate and location, because that was the source used when it was incorrect. - Davis21Wylie 23:51, 12 September 2005 (UTC)
- Agreed, I let him know that IMDB was the source and it was wrong. He also gave me a more recent headshot that I may exchange for the one that is there when I get back into edit mode. Jessamyn 14:09, 15 September 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for the compliment ("Sepharidic/Ashkenazi designations are right on") - I was the one who added them, and I'm the guy who usually adds these kinda things to entries. My source was his searchable book bio (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/158243011X/qid=1132106259/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-6652040-2249555?v=glance&s=books). Peter wrote the darn thing so essentially he's my source. I was user 24.anon. back in

Works section
Can anyone tell me what the meaning of the Works section is? It lists books that are not authored by or about him.
- It may be books where he is the narrator for the book on tape/cd version. It would definitely be a good idea if this were spelled out, however. Jessamyn 23:03, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
Birthyear
Was Peter born in 1941 or 1942? Hotwine8 03:59, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- He was born in 1941. The IMDB entry is incorrect. Jessamyn (talk) 18:30, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
boilerplate promo text
This appeared in the article and was non-encyclopedic on tone and content (refers to pictures not present, lots of press release language) but some of it could maybe be repurposed to fit into the article so I'm copy/pasting it here. Jessamyn (talk) 19:58, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Peter's latest project, OUTSIDE THE BOX, will premiere on Link TV this month. A daring new television show, it promises a refreshingly unconventional approach to the investigation and analysis of America's most critical issues. It takes viewers outside the familiar parameters and conventions, and away from the usual pundits and editorial framework of mainstream television news, as it explores a range of topics close to the American heartbeat - the death penalty, the environment, intelligence gathering and, for its first two programs, energy. Entitled "Beyond Big Oil", this program explores the political, economic, health and environmental implications of living in an oil-centric society, while also examining the viability of alternative technologies such as bio-diesel and vegetable oil. It presents CEOs of oil companies, being questioned by democratic and republican senators, and tackles head-on, in a candid, humorous tone, what a growing number of scientists and politicians consider to be the single-most important issue of our time. The program will also offer viewers a ride-along conversation with singer and songwriter Willie Nelson, founder of a new bio-diesel fuel company, on his eco-friendly concert tour bus, to learn first hand about the potential of bio-diesel, both for the struggling American farmer and for our gas-guzzling society. Upcoming airtimes are Saturday, Jan 27 at 1:30 pm, Sunday, Jan 28 at 7:00 pm, and Monday, Jan 29 at 1:00 am. The photos below include the production team at work - Peter, Co-Producer Toni Whiteman, Oil Policy Expert Antonia Juhasz, Journalist David Michaelis and Producer/Director Stephen Olsson.

Coyote was not a founder of the SF Mime Troupe
He was a member, but not a founder; nor was Emmet Grogan. R.G. Davis founded the Mime Troupe as is stated on this website's page about the company. I am guessing that what the author meant to say is that Grogan and Coyote founded the Diggers, but I don't know if that is accurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rainbow35 (talk • contribs) 09:53, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
Birthplace??
The article says Coyote was born in New York, NY. But it seems like most other sites give his birthplace as Colver, PA. Anyone know the correct birthplace? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shanafme (talk • contribs) 12:57, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Another Narration
I believe Coyote also narrated "In The Shadow Of The Siberian Tiger." If someone can confirm. --Gunnermanz (talk) 12:53, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

"Cured" of Hepatitis A?
Hepatitis A is a usually asymptomatic, common, normally mild, easily transmittable, self-limiting disease. It typically resolves completely in days to weeks, rarely in months. It is vastly less lethal than other unrelated common forms such as Hepatitis B and C. Peter may have believed that Rolling Thunder "cured" him of Hepatitis A, but there's no reason to think that was actually the case. He may not even have had it. There is an antibody test to determine whether a person has ever been infected. (Resolved infection confers immunity, so no need for subsequent administration of the effective vaccine.) There is an 8/09 request for citation to which no editor has responded. I'm eliminating the comment, which I don't think should be restored unless some actual encyclopedic verification presents itself. An alternative would be to note that Peter "believed" the "cure" was the case. "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence," (Carl Sagan). Activist (talk) 19:37, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
The Voice
I have always presumed that Ken Burns uses Coyote as a narrator because he sounds a lot like the late Henry Fonda. Does anyone know if I presume correctly?2602:304:CC3D:D7A0:BD:BB21:71C1:D20E (talk) 18:36, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
