[edit]Statements about "little support from CBS" and "claims to have invented" are highly questionable.
He is hungarian, as is stated on the page, so why is there a link to "German inventors and discoverers"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soul9 (talk • contribs) 06:49, 3 June 2011 (UTC) Actually he is Jewish, do your research — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.144.130.166 (talk) 09:24, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
- I am a wanna Wikipedia contributor. Not holding my breath 🙄
- I lived in Stamford CT from 1967 to 1971.
- Peter C Goldmark and family were close neighbors.
- Mr. Goldmark's daughter, Susan (not mentioned in this article), was my best friend for three years.
- Susan was a bit agoraphobic so we played at her house every day after school and on the weekends.
- I was close with the family (please put Susan in the article. I don't remember her exact date of birth but I am confident it was around 1963. Same as me).
- Mr. Goldmark was a bit of a celebrity in our town of Stamford. My father, also an engineer, was in awe of him.
- They were quite the interesting bunch.
- Thanks for reading and your time if you made it this far.

Inventions and Patents
[edit]Please if claims of "inventing something" are stated, add the patent number and date for all to really know the truth. Color Television was actually invented by a Mexican named Guillermo Gonázlez Camarena[González Camarena] at age 17 in 1934. González Camarena applied for this patent August 14, 1941 and obtained the patent September 15, 1942. He also filed for additional patents for color television systems in 1960 and 1962. Patent 2296019 Chromoscopic Adapter for Television Adapter. Google patents — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anecdota01 (talk • contribs) 17:43, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Goldmark's inventions were connected to space programs (Apollo, etc).
- The camerahe invented was foruse in space. No one ever claimed he invented the camera ~ just for this purpose.
- Same for color tv. Me. Goldmark didn't invent it or even claim to.
- Mr. Goldmark's contribution to color tv was to create a version to be used in space. DaisyMae19 (talk) 12:35, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
